About us.The Fellowship of First Fleeters was formed in 1968 for descendants of those who arrived in the First Fleet in Sydney on 26th January 1788. Its head office is in Woolloomooloo but local chapters have been formed elsewhere around Australia.
The Mid North Coast Chapter had its inaugural meeting on 14th April 2015 in Taree. It services the coastal region of NSW from Bulahdelah to Kempsey, including the towns of Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Taree, Forster/Tuncurry, Pacific Palms, Stroud, Gloucester and Wingham. The Chapter meets every second month. Regular meetings are held three times a year in Taree (see Venue page) where members exchange their cultural and historical interests over an afternoon tea. A guest speaker gives an interesting talk for about an hour on first-fleet or another historical topic. The Chapter also has outings or social events three times per year.
